Since 1974, researchers and institutions working in the area of ¿¿materials science and engineering have been organizing the Brazilian Congress of Materials Science and Engineering – CBECiMat, every two years. This important and traditional event is supported by three entities that bring together the main segments of the community involved: the Brazilian Ceramics Association (ABCeram), the Brazilian Association of Metallurgy, Materials and Mining (ABM) and the Brazilian Polymer Association (ABPol).

For the year 2024, the city of Fortaleza (CE) was chosen, organized by a group of researchers from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC and the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research - IPEN, from 11/24 to 11/28/2024. All areas related to materials science and materials engineering will be able to contribute to the content of the most important national forum on Research, Development & Innovation in the area of ¿¿materials. The event aims to bring science and technology closer together to satisfy academic and industrial interests, serving researchers, industry professionals and educators in the area of ¿¿materials science and engineering.
